Open Discussion Thread: What Are You Reading These Days?
· Premium · Jul 12, 2023 · BabylonBee.com

Hey everyone! It's your friendly neighborhood Managing Editor! The Babylon Bee crew has been on a reading spree lately. This is mainly to keep up appearances and make us look ten times cooler while we're smoking our cigars.

Here's what I've been working through lately:

Just finished:

Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky: Some incredibly profound insights and beautiful sections stitched together by a murder mystery narrative. Some of the best passages on human nature and faith I've ever read are in this book.

The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald: This might be one of my favorite little books I've ever read. The author George MacDonald was a huge influence on G.K. Chesterton and C.S. Lewis and you can tell. The allegory isn't as heavy-handed as Lewis's allegory, but some beautiful truths still come through. I thought it would make a great Studio Ghibli film.
